Sewell, Liao Receive 2-Game Suspensions Sunday, July 26th , 2048 It was quite a row yesterday at Lunar Field. The Moonlight Wilson Sewell and the Kingfishers Ling-kung Liao backed up their angry words with a few shoves and a few swings. Then both dugouts raced onto the field and got involved in the fracas. When it was over, only Sewell and Liao were ejected. As expected they were informed by the league office that they would each have to serve 2-game suspensions for their inappropriate actions. This season Sewell has banged out 86 hits in 294 at-bats for a .293 average with 13 home runs. He is getting on base at a .370 pace and his totals also include 44 RBIs and 52 runs scored. So far this year Liao has nailed down 2 saves. His won-lost record is 4-5 with a 4.71 ERA. |
