Great Season For Baxter, Wins USA Lake Michigan POY Award Friday, October 11th , 2047 The Detroit Thunderbirds have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Ralph Baxter, this year's USA Lake Michigan POY Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Baxter compiled a 9-6 record in 29 starts, tallied 175 strikeouts in 193.2 innings and recorded a 1.95 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .216 batting average against him. Jeff Michaud of the Chicago Architects finished second in voting, while Steffen Brooks of the Milwaukee Eagles finished third. |
