Hamilton and Windsor duked it out and the Mounties came out victorious.

Hamilton right fielder Wilson Meléndez contributed to his team's 8-6 win over the Windsor Vigilantes. Meléndez, who finished 2nd in the CAN in wins above replacement with 5.6 last year, went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Mounties. Hamilton reliever Ming-feng Cong picked up the win, raising his record to 2-2. Cliff Simpson was tagged with the loss. Juan Sánchez was called on to finish, recording his 8th save.

Hamilton third baseman Aaron Bennett contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a cutter into left field for a 2-run single. It was his 16th hit of the season and put the Mounties ahead, 8-5.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Bennett. "And not try to do too much."

Hamilton is now riding a 3-game win streak.
