A good performance from center fielder Erik Pryor helped the Thunder Bay Caribou defeat the Detroit Thunderbirds, 12-3. Pryor went 4-4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Caribou. Thunder Bay pitcher Al Pellerin got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Andrew Martínez got the loss. The Thunderbirds fall to 6-12 and continue their lackluster start in 2049.

Jamal Amador, who is tied for 2nd in the CAN with a .750 slugging percentage, came through for Thunder Bay with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the second. The right fielder went 4 for 5 for the game, including 2 home runs and 2 doubles. He scored 3 runs and collected 4 RBI.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Thunder Bay manager Daniel Mays.
