Great Week for Thunder Bay's Jamal Amador Monday, April 26th , 2049 25-year-old Jamal Amador sent shock waves through Great Lakes Baseball League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Canadian Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Amador made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .483 average, 14 hits in 29 at-bats, 4 home runs and 10 runs batted in. Where the Thunder Bay Caribou right fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Amador certainly made his mark last week. So far this season, Amador has recorded a .374 batting average with 34 hits, 8 home runs, 23 RBIs, 17 runs scored and a .430 OBP. |
