Best Rookie Trophy Presented to Meléndez Tuesday, October 13th , 2048 This year's best newcomer has been chosen and the 2048 Canadian Lake Huron Rookie Award trophy went to Hamilton right fielder Wilson Meléndez. It was a season to remember for the 22-year-old Mounties rookie. He wrapped up his first year with a .260 batting average, 46 doubles, 1 triple and 9 home runs. Meléndez also had 48 RBIs and scored 49 times. Jamal Amador of the Thunder Bay Caribou finished second in voting, while Gerald Powers of the Toronto Maples finished third. |
