The exploits of right fielder Mark Laursen, the 5th overall pick in the 2047 draft, helped the Windsor Vigilantes defeat the Hamilton Mounties, 5-2. Laursen went 3 for 4 with a triple and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was Cliff Simpson. His record is now 11-7. The left-hander went 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits for the Vigilantes. Luke Mews got the save, his 41st in 44 chances.

Windsor grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Laursen, who is rated as the 14th best prospect by BNN, hit a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season put the Vigilantes out in front, 4-2.

"I had some good swings out there," said Laursen.

With the win, Windsor raised its record to 83-51.
