Castillo Hits 2 home runs in Sea Gulls Win
|
The Duluth Sea Gulls defeated the Hamilton Mounties, 7-4. Doing his part was center fielder Javier Castillo, who was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The winner in relief was Cal Lucas. He is now 1-1. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Jake Austen earned his 2nd save in 2 chances.
Castillo had a timely hit for Duluth in the bottom of the seventh. With Hamilton trailing 4-3, he turned a 2-1 fastball into a grand slam home run. It was his 9th home run of the season, making it 7-4, Duluth.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Castillo.
The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Duluth.
