Hamilton Gets 2-1 Win
The Hamilton Mounties had to overcome a fine effort from Kingston pitcher Greg Patterson to grab a narrow 2-1 win at Comet Field. Patterson went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Wally Howard, credited with the win, is now 3-5. He allowed no runs on 1 hit. Juan Sánchez, credited with the save, is now 27 for 29 in save opportunities.

Hamilton used the timely hitting of Arthur Walker to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mounties on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Walker. "And not try to do too much."

At 52-65, Hamilton is in 5th place in the North of the Border.
