Eagles Win at Toledo, 5-3
|
Milwaukee Eagles starter Didier Charles was in fine form against the Toledo Neptunes at Ballpark of Toledo, leading his team to a win, 5-3. Milwaukee is now 59-40, 5 games up in the South of the Border.
Milwaukee used the timely hitting of Karel van de Linde to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Eagles on top, 5-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"I felt good up there," said van de Linde. "I saw the ball well."
