Thunderbirds Top Architects, 1-0, Behind Baxter
|
In a tight game between the Detroit Thunderbirds and the Chicago Architects, pitcher Ralph Baxter was terrific on the mound. The Detroit right-hander helped his team to the 1-0 win. Val Imbert earned the save for Detroit, his 2nd of the year. The win gives Detroit a record of 6-5.
Baxter's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 6 strikeouts in 7 innings while allowing 3 hits. Baxter, who finished 2nd in the USA in ERA with 1.54 in 2043, goes to 2-1 on the year with 15 strikeouts.
"Winning never gets dull," said Baxter.
