Vigilantes Win Thriller, 4-3
|
The Vigilantes grabbed a win, 4-3, at Justice Field, overcoming a fine effort from Kingston pitcher Juan Bojórquez. Bojórquez went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. The winner in relief was Roger Horne. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 3-2. The North of the Border-leading Vigilantes are 56-40.
Scott Bond was the walk-off hero for Windsor. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Vigilantes second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We put together a nice win," Bond said.
