Milwaukee Gets 5-2 Road Win
|
Spirited fans greeted the Thunder Bay Caribou for their clash with the Milwaukee Eagles.
The Milwaukee Eagles picked up a win at Caribou Field, knocking off the Thunder Bay Caribou, 5-2. Starting pitcher Didier Charles was a big reason why. Charles went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 3, and struck out 3. His record improves to 6-5.
Milwaukee used the clutch hitting of José Aranda to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Eagles the lead, 2-0. For the game, Aranda had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Aranda told the Milwaukee Citizen.
The South of the Border-leading Eagles are 53-36.
