Kevin Simonin was locked and loaded, helping the Thunder Bay Caribou beat the Hamilton Mounties, 4-1. Thunder Bay raised its record to 40-35 with the win.

Jamal Amador, the 25-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Amador contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Thunder Bay up, 1-0.
