Caribou Rally For 4-2 Win
|
The Thunder Bay Caribou beat the Kingston Comets, 4-2, at Caribou Field. The win was due in part to left fielder Kenzie Adamson, who was 1-1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Thunder Bay reliever Al Pellerin was the winner. His record is now 1-2. The losing pitcher was José Álvarez. Brian Walsh, credited with the save, is now 3 for 3 in save opportunities.
Adamson had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-0 fastball from José Álvarez, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Caribou a 4-2 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Adamson.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Thunder Bay manager Daniel Mays.
With the victory, the Caribou upped their record to 35-31.
