Behind a solid performance from third baseman Sean Lane, the Traverse City Bears defeated the Hamilton Mounties, 6-2. Lane was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Bears. With the win, the Bears have a record of 33-24.

Traverse City used the timely hitting of George Blakeney to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bears on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Lane said after the game.
