Bears Lose to Eagles, 7-6
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Traverse City Bears and Milwaukee Eagles get after it.
The Traverse City Bears got a superb performance from left fielder Pedro Morales, but the Milwaukee Eagles still won the game, 7-6. Morales went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The current losing streak for Traverse City has reached 4 games.
The Eagles got an important contribution from left fielder Karel van de Linde, who in the bottom of the third punched a 2-0 sinker into right for a grand slam home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Eagles ahead, 6-1.
"Nothing is scripted in this game," said van de Linde.
