Sea Gulls Come Up Short at Traverse City, 4-3
Traverse City Bears starter Ward Covey pitched a strong game against the Duluth Sea Gulls at The Den, leading the Bears to victory, 4-3. Luis Torres collected his 3rd save. Traverse City now has a record of 31-20 with the win.

In the bottom of the fourth, Ben Marshall delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Traverse City center fielder hit a 2-run single, putting the Bears in front, 4-3.

"This is a very good team," said Covey. "We have the chance to do something special."
