Thunder Bay Win to Pull Even With Milwaukee
|
Kevin Simonin picked a good time to have a career day.
In Game 2 of the GLBL Championship today, the Thunder Bay Caribou starter dominated the overmatched Milwaukee Eagles to help his club move into a 1-1 tie. The right-handed Simonin threw 8.2 innings of shutout ball in the 2-0 victory. Simonin threw 8.2 innings of shutout ball in the win at The Nest. The Caribou and Eagles are playing a best-of-7 series.
In his 93-pitch effort, Simonin allowed no runs on 2 hits over 8.2 innings. He walked 0 and struck out 7.
"Every team in baseball loses," Eagles manager Mike Trigwell said. "We're in the playoffs and we still have the same guys that got us here. We'll bounce back."
The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, September 29th , 2048 at Caribou Field in Thunder Bay.
