Bears Fall Short, 3-2, at Kingston
|
Kingston starter Dan Floyd had a strong outing against the Traverse City Bears at Comet Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. The Comets, at 16-21, sit in 5th place in the North of the Border.
Kingston center fielder Esteban Chapa contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball into right-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 40th hit of the season and put the Comets ahead, 1-0.
Floyd said his team "played with determination."
