Eagles Beat Chicago, 2-1
|
The Milwaukee Eagles racked up a win at The Nest, bumping off the Chicago Architects, 2-1. Yale Hulbert, who started for Milwaukee, pitched effectively for his team. Milwaukee pitcher Michael Bergeron got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Hai-feng Jiao got the loss. The win has Milwaukee at 13-8.
Milwaukee won the game in the bottom of the 12th inning. With two outs and Hai-feng Jiao on the mound for Chicago, second baseman Markus Teigland hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Eagles fans to their feet.
"I still think this team can play even better," Hulbert told the Milwaukee Citizen.
