5-1 Win Takes Bears to 14-6
|
The Traverse City Bears downed the Duluth Sea Gulls, 5-1, at The Den. The Bears were led by Pedro Morales. He was 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times. The loss has the Sea Gulls at 7-13.
The Bears got a big at-bat from first baseman Bernie Stoddart. For the game, Stoddart went 1 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave Traverse City a 1-0 lead.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Stoddart. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
